REDONDO BEAT "When The Day Turns In Tonight" LP

Redondo Beat hails from Gelnhausen, a small German town that housed the Monks during their time as American G.I.s in the 1960s. Taking inspiration from that group, as well as American traditions like doo wop, girl group pop, and garage rock, Redondo Beat began releasing stylishly retro albums in the early 2000s, beginning with 2002’s Les Enfants Garagesques. When the Day Turns in Tonight followed in 2007. Although Roman Aul remained the undisputed leader of the group, he pieced together a co-ed lineup that also featured bassist Cornelius Springer, drummer Maximilian Schneider, and backup vocalist Katrin Marleen Einert, the latter two of whom appeared on 2011’s Meet Redondo Beat.
