SKIP JENSEN 'Abscond' LP

Savage Magazine Here’s some canadian bacon for ya. The drummer of the Scat Rag Boosters and the Demon’s Claws on his own for a full length cd. His singles have been terrific omb stuff. Here he really goes for a whole concept though. It’s no longer focus on the one man band but the music. It’s dark and bluesy. This here’s a man with demons to conquer. It’s a pretty damn amazing album. Great sounding with a driving beat and Skip’s nasal vocals. You’ve been reading ’68 Comeback, Gories and Oblivians an infinite times regarding the Scat Rag Boosters and that still stands. Their cd is great and have been reviewed here before. The Boosters were one of the centuries greatest bands. Skip Jensen is still here and still great but compared to the Boosters there’s more blues in there now, more demons and more roots.
